Project Overview

Nacita A was a 15 MW utility-scale PV project where our team was responsible for both electrical and mechanical solar installation works. The project required strong site organization, flexible execution planning, and close coordination with the client due to challenging ground conditions and heavy rainfall during construction.

Despite a two-week work interruption caused by heavy rain, the project was completed three weeks earlier than the original schedule. This result was achieved through efficient manpower planning, proper machinery allocation, and fast recovery of the installation schedule once site conditions improved.

As a PV execution partner, our role was not only to provide installation teams and machinery, but also to support the client with practical solutions during execution. One of the key contributions during the project was a design-related electrical solution that helped the client save approximately €20,000.

Scope of Work

Our scope on the Nacita A project included both mechanical and electrical PV installation activities. The mechanical works required careful preparation because the site conditions demanded 100% pre-drilling before ramming.

The project scope included:

  • Mechanical installation works

  • Electrical installation works

  • Pre-drilling before pile installation

  • Ramming works

  • Material handling and site logistics

  • Support with site coordination

  • Practical technical input during execution

  • Problem-solving related to the electrical design

This combination of electrical and mechanical responsibilities required close coordination between teams to avoid delays and maintain steady progress across the site.

Site Challenges

The main technical difficulty on the Nacita A project was the requirement for 100% pre-drilling. This meant that every relevant installation point had to be prepared before ramming, adding complexity to the construction sequence and requiring careful coordination between pre-drilling and ramming teams.

In addition, the project was affected by two weeks of heavy rain, which temporarily stopped works on site. Heavy rain can create serious challenges on utility-scale solar projects, especially when machinery movement, access roads, material handling, and ground works are involved.

The key challenges were:

  • Full pre-drilling requirement across the site

  • Two-week stoppage due to heavy rain

  • Recovery of lost time after weather delays

  • Coordination between pre-drilling, ramming, electrical, and mechanical teams

  • Maintaining productivity while working with multiple machines and work fronts

Machinery and Site Resources

To support efficient execution, the project was completed using a combination of earthmoving, lifting, drilling, and ramming equipment.

Machinery used on site included:

  • 2 excavators

  • 2 telehandlers

  • 1 pre-drill machine

  • 2 ramming machines

  • 2 bobcats

This equipment setup allowed the team to organize multiple work fronts and maintain progress once the weather conditions allowed work to continue. The use of dedicated pre-drilling and ramming equipment was especially important because of the 100% pre-drill requirement.

Problems and Solutions

One of the most important parts of our work as a PV execution partner is the ability to identify practical solutions during construction. On the Nacita A project, our team provided a solution to the client related to the electrical design.

This solution helped optimize the electrical part of the project and resulted in an estimated saving of approximately €20,000 for the client.

This is an important example of how an experienced solar installation partner can bring value beyond manpower. A reliable execution team should not only install according to plan, but also understand the project well enough to identify risks, suggest improvements, and support the EPC or client during real site conditions.

Schedule Performance

The original schedule was affected by two weeks of heavy rain, during which work had to be stopped. However, after the weather delay, our team reorganized the execution plan and recovered lost time through efficient coordination and productivity on site.

As a result, the Nacita A project was completed three weeks earlier than the original schedule, despite the two-week interruption.

This result demonstrates strong execution capacity, especially considering the additional complexity created by 100% pre-drilling and weather-related delays.

Health and Safety

During the project, there was one minor incident recorded. The incident was managed according to site procedures, and works continued with attention to safe execution, machinery coordination, and team organization.

For utility-scale solar construction, HSE performance is an important part of project delivery. Working with excavators, telehandlers, ramming machines, bobcats, and electrical installation teams requires clear coordination and disciplined site management.

Photos and Videos from the Project

The Nacita A project included several important execution stages, including pre-drilling, ramming, mechanical installation, electrical works, and machinery operation.

Photos and videos from the site can help show:

  • Site conditions during construction

  • Machinery used during execution

  • Mechanical installation progress

  • Electrical installation works

  • Team organization on site

  • Weather and terrain conditions

  • Completed sections of the PV plant

Final Result

Nacita A was completed as a 15 MW electrical and mechanical PV installation project. Despite challenging site conditions, 100% pre-drilling, and a two-week interruption caused by heavy rain, the project was completed three weeks ahead of the original schedule.

The project also demonstrated our ability to support the client with practical technical solutions, including an electrical design-related improvement that saved approximately €20,000.

For EPC companies, developers, and investors looking for a reliable PV execution partner, Nacita A is a strong example of our ability to deliver utility-scale solar installation works under real construction conditions.

Summary

The Nacita A project shows our capacity to deliver mechanical and electrical PV works with strong site organization, reliable manpower, and practical problem-solving.

Key results:

  • 15 MW electrical and mechanical PV scope completed

  • 9,000 man-hours delivered

  • 100% pre-drilling managed successfully

  • Heavy rain delay recovered

  • Project completed 3 weeks ahead of the original schedule

  • Approximately €20,000 saved through an electrical design-related solution

  • 1 minor HSE incident recorded

  • Multiple machines and work fronts coordinated on site

Nacita A reflects the type of value we aim to bring to EPC partners: reliable execution, practical solutions, and the ability to deliver under challenging site conditions.
